Janico started in 1973 supplying home & industrial electrical wiring accessories to the trade & D.I.Y. These products included sockets, switches, cables, heating elements and cables etc. In 1985 they moved to much larger premises in Balmoral Terrace, which they still occupy today.

With this expansion came a move into bathroom fitments and heating & plumbing accessories. Again the trades person and D.I.Y. enthusiast could find a comprehensive range of goods at competitive prices.

Janico now offers over 20,000 products off the shelf with access to hundreds of thousands more available to special order.

When Janico first began offering trade prices to the D.I.Y enthusiast it was fairly revolutionary. Now many companies offer large out of town shopping for the D.I.Y. enthusiast and so Janico has had to change with the times. We are still competitive on price and still offer a large selection of goods and easy parking, but we also try to support the products we sell with a huge selection of spare parts for showers, boilers etc. off the shelf. We also offer a special order service (now fully computerized) helping customers obtain that product or part which is not so easily available.

Janico recently started selling products through their online store on Ebay. This has been so successful that they have now launched their own dedicated online store.
